HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-2088 - Ordinance - 09/22/1994ORDINANCE NO. 2088 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING THE AD VALOREM TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE GENERAL DEBT SERVICE FUND FOR THE YEAR 1994-95 AND APPORTIONING EACH LEVY FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: SECTION I. That there ~s hereby levied and there shall be collected for the use and support of the mumc~pal government of the City of College Station, Texas, and to prowde General Debt Service Fund for the 1994-95 hscal year upon all property, real, personal and m~xed within the corporate hm~ts of sa~d city subject to taxabon, a tax of forty-four and fifty one-hundredths cents ($0.4450) on each one hundred dollar ($100 00) valuahon of property, and said tax being so lewed and apportioned to the specific purpose here~n set forth. 1. For the maintenance and support of the general government (General Fund), sixteen and twenty-five one-hundredths cents ($0.1625) on each one hundred dollar ($100.00) valuabon of property; and 2. For the General Debt Service Fund, twenty-e;ght and twenty-five one-hundredths cents ($0.2825) on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) valuation of property to be used for pnncipal and interest payments on bonds and other obhgations of the fund. SECTION II. All moneys collected under th~s ordinance for the specific items therein named, shall be and the same are hereby appmpnated and set apart for the spec~hc purpose indicated m each item and the Assessor and Collector of Taxes and the Executive Director of Finance shall keep these accounts so as to readily and d~stmctly show the amount collected, the amounts expended and the amount on hand at any t~me, belonging to such funds. It is hereby made the duty of the Tax Assessor and Collector to dehver at the time of depositing any moneys, a statement should be made showing from what source received. SECTION II1.
