Dear Colonel Buvens ;
Thanks for your letter of recent date incloeel.ne check iri payment
of December rent.
We are glad to learn from the letter and as you stated in conversation
while I was there last week that you and the /eerily plan to continua occupancy
of our house and premises for some months longer. We cote that the period of
further occupancy is indefinite .. that your present plan is to rariain there
until the end of the present school year for the children. Then, that after the
close of school, about next M zr, farther decision will be nac weary ao to your
plans thereafter.
Your past use of the place has been most satisfact and ee shall
hope that you may find it suitable to remain therm as long seeees are on duty
elsewhere. The continuation of my military service, like 4 114her reserve offie►
cars, is uncertain. We do not, however, antici ate a release from service in the
very near future. Whenever released, our only place to eo would most likely be
to our home at Collo ep Station.
Mrs. Munson and I have discussed the ratter of a reduction n rent if
you continue to occupy our place. We know from observation arid experiepce during
the past two years that the price of .$100.00 has been within reasonable limits.
We would not consider a less rontai to new ranters. r
In cons oration, however, of the excellent care you ants Mrs. Buvens
have exercised to keep the house and yard, and other matters considered we
are willing to continue the rental to
you at 4p75.00 per month.
Please keep this matter in confidence, and lot us knOW at your earliest
convenience as to whether or not you will continue there at our place after the
