RESOLUTION
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION
WHEREAS, The City of College Station, Texas recognizes
the loss of Li I I ian Jean Clark Robinson, an admired and beloved
citizen, and City of College Station employee who passed from
this world on November 8, 1994.
WHEREAS, Lillian jean Clark Robinson began her service to
our community through her employment with the College
Station Parks and Recreation Department as the Lincoln
Center Supervisor in 1983. And Lillian was a role model tothe
patrons of the Lincoln Center and was the creator of opportu-
nities for the children she served. Her dedicated leadership
was instrumental tothesuccessof programsatthe Lincoln Center, herchurch, neighborhood and
the community as a whole.
WHEREAS, Lillian Jean Clark Robinson was also dedicated to development and advancement
of the African American community in College Station through her efforts in programming and
promotingthe Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration and the annual Black Heritage Program as well
as the annual Juneteenth Celebration.
WHEREAS, Lillian Jean Clark Robinson showed devotion to those in need of assistance in our
community by faci I itating the social services to the needy atthe Lincoln Center. Lillian Jean Clark
Robinson always showed a deep concern and commitment for improving the quality of life for al I
those whose I ives she touched.
WHEREAS, Lillian Jean Clark Robinson was a dedicated professional for the College Station
Parks and Recreation Department and worked towards improving opportunities in her profession
for the youth through her work with the Texas Recreation and Parks Society. Lillian Jean Clark
Robinson was a kind person who was always cheerful and expressed concern for the well-being
of those whose I ives she came in contact with.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED thatthis Council record its appreciation, recognition
of serviceand grievous loss of this community leaderand humanitarian, andthatthis resolution be
made a part of the minutes of this meeting in memory of our dear friend and co- worker.
Passed and approved this 10th day of November, 1994.

Open since 1982, the College Station Conference Center is the ideal place to have that special event or meeting, easily accessible to TAMU and hotels.
The Center is available for rental to any individual orgroup, with accommodations from 10-400 in various rooms, day orevening. Tables, chairs, podiums,
movie screens, flip charts, audio visual equipment, piano, kitchen, ice machine, refrigerators, microwaves, coffeepots, patios, and an 800 square foot
deck are available.
Rates and fees depend on the type of group utilizing the facility. Reservations should be made one to three months in advance. A deposit is required
upon reservation.
