Agenda Item #5: Possible action and discussion on absence requests. Hillary and Ernie emailed and will present their absence requests at the next meeting. Agenda Item #6: Possible action and discussion to approve meeting minutes of regular meeting of November 1, 2010. Minutes were approved with changes. (LV/jm) Agenda Item #7: Possible action and discussion on Shop & Music Building (The Annex). Linda Harvell brought the committee up to date on a citizen action group who will be addressing this issue. Agenda Item #8: Report from HPC Chairperson. 􀀨􀁄􀁕􀁏􀀃􀀤􀁓􀁊􀁄􀁕􀂶􀁖􀀃􀁕􀁈􀁖􀁌􀁊􀁑􀁄􀁗􀁌􀁒􀁑􀀃􀁚􀁄􀁖􀀃􀁄􀁆􀁆􀁈􀁓􀁗􀁈􀁇􀀃􀁌􀁑 November, 2010. Susan Irza introduced herself as the new HPC chair as appointed by council. She expressed that she would look to the HPC for help in carrying out her duties. The development committee was removed from the standing committees. Susan discussed the HPC partnership with the B/CS Friends of the Library in bringing Duffy Hudson to portray Edgar 􀀤􀁏􀁏􀁈􀁑􀀃􀀳􀁒􀁈􀀃􀁌􀁑􀀃􀀩􀁈􀁅􀁕􀁘􀁄􀁕􀁜 􀀑􀀃􀀬􀁉􀀃􀁗􀁋􀁈􀀃􀁓􀁕􀁒􀁊􀁕􀁄􀁐􀀃􀁌􀁖􀀃􀁖􀁘􀁆􀁆􀁈􀁖􀁖􀁉􀁘􀁏􀀏􀀃􀁚􀁈􀀃􀁚􀁌􀁏􀁏􀀃􀁆􀁒􀁑􀁖􀁌􀁇􀁈􀁕􀀃􀀰􀁕􀀑􀀃􀀫􀁘􀁇􀁖􀁒􀁑􀂶􀁖􀀃􀁓􀁒􀁕􀁗􀁕􀁄􀁜al of Einstein in the fall of 2011. Susan also mentioned that the interviews with the mayors and long serving council members were going very well. Linda expressed an interest in seeing Susan going before council on a monthly basis to relay the HPC activities and progress. Agenda Item #9: Report from Heritage Programs Coordinator. Anne discussed the new unpaid intern, Morgan Hester and the projects she will be working on: 1)Mayor Anderson papers and 2)Native American Pathway. She also mentioned the increased interest from the city in the Military History on Tap in Brazos Valley booklet and the Hot Rocks Cook Off (Nov. 18-20, 2011). Agenda Item #10: Report on 75th Anniversary plans. Linda Harvell has agreed to chair the 75th Anniversary Planning Committee. The next meeting is Friday, January 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. She plans to regroup with the committee and bring into play her vast experience in event planning and working in city governments.
