AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL
ELECTION ON AN ORDINANCE, SUBMITTED AS SECTION 83, INITIATIVE PETITION,
PROVIDING THAT CAMERA ENFORCEMENT OF RED LIGHT VIOLATIONS SHALL BE
UNENFORCEABLE.
WHEREAS, the City Secretary has certified a petition that has been submitted as Section 83, Initiative Petition,
under Article X of the City Charter of the City of College Station, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has decided to submit the issue to the voters for their consideration on November
3, 2009; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the following issue shall be submitted for consideration and voted on in the following
format:
"The powers granted under City Ordinance 3017, Titled Section 11 Automatic Traffic Signal
Enforcement, which amended Chapter 10 "Traffic Code" of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of College Station, Texas enacted 10/25/08, shall henceforth be deemed and declared
unenforceable."
"For the Ordinance"
"Will ban the use of cameras to enforce Red Light Violations."
"Against the Ordinance"
"Will allow the use of cameras to enforce Red Light Violations."
SECTION 2: That an election is hereby called on November 3, 2009, on said ordinance. If said ordinance
shall receive a majority of "For the Ordinance" votes, it shall be declared passed. Said ordinance passing by a
majority of votes shall be entered upon the records of the City of College Station and declared by the City
Council of College Station be adopted and shall be effective thereof. If said ordinance shall fail to receive a
majority of votes, the results shall also be entered on the records of College Station, Texas.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED this 27 day of August, 2009.

REGLAMENTO NO. 3199
UN REGLAMENTO DE LA CIUDAD DE COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, QUE CONSISTE DE
ELECCIONES ESPECIALES RESPECTO A UN REGLAMENTO, PRESENTADO COMO LA
SECCION 83, PETICION POR INICIATIVA, QUE NO SE APLICARAN LAS VIOLACIONES EN
LOS SEMAFOROS EN ROJO NOTIFICADOS POR CAM ARA.
CONSIDERANDO, la Secretaria de la Ciudad ha certificado una peticion que ha sido presentada como la
Seccion 83, Peticion por Iniciativa, bajo el Articulo X de la Escritura de Constitucion de la Ciudad de College
Station, Texas; y,
CONSIDERANDO, el Consejo de la Ciudad ha decidido presentar el tema a los votantes para su consideracion
el 3 de noviembre de 2009; ahora, por to consiguiente,
QUE SEA ORDENADO POR EL CONSEJO DE LA CIUDAD DE LA CIUDAD DE COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
SECCION 1: Que el siguiente tema sera presentado para la consideracion y voto en el siguiente formato:
"La autoridad concedida bajo el Reglamento de la Ciudad 3017, Titulado Seccion 11 Aplicacion
del Reglamento de la Sepal de Transito Automdtico, el cual enmendo el Capitulo 10 "Codigo de Trsnsito" del
Codigo de Reglamentos de la Ciudad de College Station, Texas promulgado el 10/25/08, sera de ahora en
adelante declarado no aplicable."
"A Favor el Reglamento"
"Se suspenders el use de csmaras para aplicar la ley de Violaciones del Semdforo en Rojo."
"En Contra del Reglamento"
"Se pennitird el use de cdmaras para aplicar el reglamento a las Violaciones del Semdforo en
Rojo."
SECCION 2: Que se celebrarsn elecciones el 3 de noviembre de 2009, sobre dicho reglamento. Si dicho
reglamento recibe mayoria de votos "A Favor del Reglamento ", sera declarado como aprobado. Si dicho
reglamento es aprobado por mayoria de votos, entrard en los registros de la Ciudad de College Station y sera
adoptado por el Consejo de la Ciudad de College Station y entrars en vigencia de ese momento en adelante. Si
dicho reglamento no recibe mayoria de votos, los resultados tambidn serdn registrados en los libros de College
Station, Texas.
SECCION 3: Que este reglamento tomard efecto inmediatamente desde y despues de ser aprobado.
PASADO, ADOPTADO Y APROBADO este 27' "° dia del mes de agosto de 2009.
