HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/08/2025 - Regular Agenda - Brazos County Municipal Utility District No. 2NOTICE OF MEETING BRAZOS COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 2 The Board of Directors of Brazos County Municipal Utility District No. 2 will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at The Boathouse at Millican Reserve, 19851 FM 2154, College Station, Texas, to discuss and, if appropriate, act upon the following items: 1. Public comments. 2. Approve minutes of previous meeting(s). 3. Director matters, including: a. appoint new director; b. approve Sworn Statement, Official Bond, and Oath of Office of new director. c. reorganize the Board and execution of District Registration Form. d. Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act Training Requirements. e. conflict of interest disclosure required under Chapter 176 of the Texas Local Government Code, including review of disclosure forms adopted by the Texas Ethics Commission and List of Local Government Officers. 4. Financial and bookkeeping matters, including: a. payment of the bills; b. accept annual disclosure statements for Investment Officer and bookkeeper; c. conduct annual review of Investment Policy and adopt Resolution Regarding Annual Review of Investment Policy; and d. review, revise, and adopt Resolution Establishing the Authorized Depository Institutions and Adopting List of Qualified Broker/Dealers with Whom the District May Engage in Investment Transactions. 5. Annual Report regarding Post -Issuance Compliance Policy. 6. Tax assessment and collection matters. 7. Approve amendment to tax assessor contract. 8. Engineering matters, including: a. engineering services agreements; b. authorize design of facilities to serve the District; c. approve plans and specifications and authorize advertisement for bids for District construction projects; Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting and would like to request auxiliary aids or services are requested to contact the District's attorney at (713) 860-6400 at least three business days prior to the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made. Texas Water Code Section 49.062(c) provides a process for qualified voters residing in the District to request the designation of a meeting place within the District. Please see Section 49.062(c) for specific information. 1239684 d. review bids and award contracts for District construction projects; e. approve pay estimates and change orders for construction of District facilities; and f. deeds and easements and related phase I environmental assessment proposals, consents to encroachment, requests for service, or utility commitment letters. 9. Developer's report, including execution of Consent to Assignment of Reimbursables. 10. Renewal of District's insurance policies. 11. Adopt Resolution Adopting Covered Applications Policy. 12. Meeting schedule.
