Meeting Monday February 1, 1982 5:00 P. M. County Courthouse - Civil
Defense Office.
Present Jake Canglose, Major Leland Freeman -BPD, Gary Wentreck -BPD,
Ernie Bauchez -Bryan City Attorney, Sheriff Bobby Yeager, Ron
Taylor -TAMU Safety and Health Dept., Warren Heffington - MOBDES,
Ben Wormeli.

Plans were begun for those who will attend the Emergency
Management Conference for state and local officials at the
Hilton Inn in Austin on February 17 and 18.
Capt. Warren Heffington - MOBDES was on Active Duty January 4
thru 15. He surveyed, recapped and prepared the current information
in these following areas:
1. Area Hospitals Heating Survey
2. Key Locations Heating Systems Survey
3. Heating Systems for Schools
4. Brazos County Radio Communications
Equipement Inventors and Government
Agencies
The purpose of the Heating Surveys is to locate areas that
have stand by generators in case of electric power failure
during severe cold weather.
The Radio Communications Equipement inventory survey updates
this information for use in the event of an emergency.
The National Guard wanted to meet to plan an emergency exercise
but the representative did not show.
