WHEREAS...
The County Judge of the County of Brazos
AND the Mayor of the City of College Station
AND the Mayor of the City of Bryan...
...Being aware of the need for public education and safety
preparedness information concerning tornadoes, hail, windstorms,
lightning, and flash floods...
AND WHEREAS, the State of Texas last year was struck by over
120 such storms...
DO HEREBY join together and proclaim the month of April .
"SEVERE WEATHER and TORNADO PREPAREDNESS MONTH"
AND urge Lire news media and local preparedness officials to
publicize severe weather safety rules and emergency preparedness
information.
