However, this report of intensity may be very general and in some cases will not be received without an operative radio. In any case it is highly desirable to have radiological monitoring equipment in each shelter in order to determine the local radiation intensity and the total radiation dose received by the shelter occupants. Radiological monitoring kits may be obtained that include a ratemeter, a dosimeter, a charger, and an instruction manual. These kits may be obtained from the following. Charles P.
