There will be an Emergency Management /Civil Defense Council
meeting on Tuesday, September 13th, at 5:00 p.m. in Room 104 (our
regular meeting room) of the Brazos County Courthouse.
Visitors invited to this meeting are:

o 1st Lt. Kurt Priest of the Civil Air Patrol
o Mr. Falter Godfrey of St. Joseph's Hospital

The following items were discussed:
1. Hurricane Gilbert - Preparations for and possible
meetings later in the week.
2. Mobile Command Post - Report by D. D. Williamson.
3. Recertification Course for Radiological Defense
Officers.
4. Use of State Guard in exercises.
5. Both hospitals need exercise by 1 December 1988.
6. Maps showing flood prone areas are to be turned in
by the County Engineer, Bryan Police, and College
Station Police.
7. All staff encouraged to take the home study course
"Preparedness Planning in a Nuclear Crisis ".
