BRAZOS COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE/
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COUNCIL
Meeting
March 7, 1988
5 :00 p.m.
Room 104, Courthouse
PRESENT: See attached roster.
PRESIDING: Jake Canglose
The following items were discussed:
1. Buddy McShan made an offer of a cellular telephone
to Brazos County Emergency Management for installation
in the Mobile Command Post. It is a Novatel -380.
There will be no monthly fee except $2.00 for detailed
bill to determine who has made the calls. We will be
charged .28 cents per minute for use of the phone.
We will have to pay for installation. Jake Canglose
will prepare paperwork to accept the gift.
2. Lettering for the Mobile Command Post was decided as
follows:
a. "Brazos County Emergency Command Post" will
be placed on each side.
b. "Emergency Command Post" will be placed on
back and front.
c. Large "EM" will be placed on top for identi-
fication from the air.
3. Other items of discussion about the bus were:
a. Installation of two more batteries if it is
feasible. Mr. Morgan will check into this. In
addition, he will check into a larger generator.
His shop will do the lettering on the bus. Mr. Morgan
is in the fleet maintenance department of the City of
Bryan.
b. Bryan will donate two 10- channel Realistic
radios for installation in Mobile Command Post.
c. College Station will donate one 16- channel
Realistic radio for installation in Mobile Command Post.
d. After Bryan Maintenance Shop completes
painting of signs, installing batteries and large
generator, the bus will be taken to College Station
maintenance for installation of radios.
e. Radio positions in Mobile Command Post will
have headsets.
