PRESENT: See Roster.
PRESIDING: Jake Canglose.
The following items were discussed:
1. Jake Canglose requested inputs from Mr. Norwood,
Mr. Beachy, Sheriff Miller, and Chief Phelps as to suggestions
of how the Brazos County Emergency Management Office should
operate.
2. New Appointments list to be made and checked by each
jurisdiction.
3. People to attend the 26th Annual State Emergency
Management Conference set for February 17 -19.
a. Beachy and Strong to attend on the 18th and 19th.
b. Canglose, Phelps, and Henry Smith to attend the
18th only.
4. Exercise TWISTER III.
a. Strong to attend Planning Meeting Thursday, February
12, 1987.
b. Decision to be made later on our participation in the
Exercise April 1 -2, 1987.
c. Mr. Beachy wants to have a Shelter Exercise.
5. Investigation into the possibility of designating shelters
for people living in mobile homes during tornado season.
6. List of all communications frequencies in the county to
be made. Then a meeting will be held between Canglose, Norwood,
and Beachy to work out any problem areas or reassignment of
frequencies. After this is done, we should have a Communications
Exercise.
