Absent: Charles Phelps Presiding: Jake Canglose Topic: Needed additions and modifications of Brazos County Civil Defense leaflet, "TORNADO WARNING AND SEVERE WEATHER SAFETY RULES." The emphasis concerned the first section, "TORNADO WARNING SIGNALS FOR BRYAN - COLLEGE STATION- TAMU." Primary consideration concerned addition of an item 4 for the procedure for contacting the dispatchers of Bryan, College Station and TAMU, and the outlined authority for the dispatcher to initate the warning action, of warning with mobile units. If in doubt the dispatcher should telephone the TAMU Radar Room for verification. Need to get actions cleared up for what the Bryan, College Station and TAMU people will do after the notice is received, especially after midnight. Your attendance is requested for approval of proposed Emer- gency Planning agenda items for Bryan, College Station, Texas A & M University and Brazos County. Officers from the local National Guard Company will be at the meeting to coordinate emergency and disaster assistance. Also, the Red Cross representative will be present to coordinate plans for our Civil Defense Operations. Your support and cooperation is sincerely appreciated.
