February 3, 1977 - 5:00 P.M.
Courthouse - Civil Defense Office
PRESENT: North Bardell, George Huebner, Louis Odle,
Tom Brymer, Carroll Bell, Jake Canglose,
Ben Wormeli.
PRESIDING: Jake Canglose
1. Texas A & M University Emergency Plan is
now approved.(ask James Preswood for copy.)
2. Brazos county, Bryan and College Station,
Joint resloution and Mutual Aid Agreement
has been approved and signed by Bryan and
College Station, and will be forwarded for
Brazos County action.
3. The Annual Texas Prepardeness Conference for
state and Local Officials is scheduled for
February 15 thru 17, 1977 at the Hilton Inn,
in Austin. Copies fo the program were distri-
buted and plans were discussed for attendance
from Brazos County.
4. The Shelter Survival Biscuits are being donated
to:
(a) Texas A & M University Survival Center,
for survival food.
(b) Texas Parks and Wildlife for fish food
in public lakes.
5. Package Disaster Hospital:
On January 27, 1977, Barry Lester of Austin,
of the Texas Department of Health Resources,
inventoried the con tents of the Package
Disaster Hospital and sorted out the overage.

Bryan landfill and buried in the presents of a
Byran Policeman who certified that they had a
proper disposal.
Two cases of Sodium Hypercholrite were donated to
the Parks and Recreation Department for use in
public swinning pools.
We plan to remove overage medicatons from our
shelter medication kits this summer.
6. Captain John Gray was on active duty for part
of January and complied information on the
communicatons structure and disaster plans for
Brazos County.
7. The Helath Department moved February 1,1977

from the courthouse to the Annex. (Old Bryan Hospital)
The old Helath Department space will be reconditioned
and will become occupied by the Brazos County Auditors
and the Treasurer. This will then make office and
supply space available again for this office - Civil
Defense.
8. Mr. Odle made hlep available to type letters of appre-
ciation to hospitals and schools for their participation
in the Emergency Operations Exercise last November.
This was completed February 8, 1977.
