PRESENT - George Huebner, Jake Canglose, Capt. Robert Blanz, Gene Gerber (for
Louis Odle) Col. Carroll Bell, North Bardell, Judge m. Vance,
LeRoy Johnson, James Presswood, B.C. Wormeli; Jake Canglose presiding.
Avoid 2nd and 4th Thursdays - Same as C.S. Council for Bardell -
Jake - "Schedule CS Meeting 1st or 3rd Thursday."

FIRE Huge afternoon fire in Chelsea, Lass. (near Boston) Shows organization
of all resources during and after the fire.
7:30 P.M. 20% of the city consumed by fire; wind 100 M.P.H.
No fatalities. 1000 people homeless, 600 out of work. Reemployed
quickly. 18 city blocks burned. Fire put out by dawn. Fought
surrounding areas for 4 days.

Jake - "Do we have enough water tank trucks in Bryan & CS for fighting grass
fires - a real threat. ?"

Jake knows of way to get some surplus tank trucks .
No action.
Current Disaster Plans of Bryan. and CS have been turned in.
Chuck Harrison will be here in February.
Jake - Ordinances for Brazos County - Bryan & C.S. reviewed.
Titles - dame change to DISASTER EJfl RC=r,NCY SERVICES & Disaster Coordinator
in new Model, will be considered.
Present Ordinances complete, except for titles.
Amendment should be made. Bardell & Vance suggest that ammsndments
be made.
"Public Disturbance Ordinance" providing CS has 1970 expanded authority
for crowd control. A copy will be securred for Civil Defense file
and use.
Judge - Approval granted to purchase a 4- drawer file cabinet for Civil Defense.

Get - Commissioners Court Order issued in December S, 1975 authorizing
Sheriff J. N. Hamilton to appoint Reserve Deputies .
