MINUTES OF DEFENSE COUNCIL MEETING

Item I Letters read State CD office, on final evaluation of
IRIS exercise.
ITEM II Letter from Defense Supply Agency -- regarding no issue
of Shelter supplies for FY year 1972 -1973.
ITEM III Report given on shelter inspection being conducted begining
Nov. 29th by the 9806th Air Force Reserve Unit in College Sta.
ITEM IV Requested by Major Ira Scott of the local State Security Guard
Bpttalion for a test exercise in March 1972 for CD/State
Guard exercise---All members of local Atk A *0.. are now
undergoing Rescue Training . Request *`ds "bp'proVed by CD
Director for joint test exercise.
ITEM V 58 shelter kits (total) in county was picked up by State
Health Dept. and replace by caliberated and tested kits
with new batteries. Nov 29 - -Dec. 2, 1971.
ITEM VI Updated CD county organizational chart presented for discussion
and approval. Request that chart be mailed back with comments
and notes.
ITEM VII: : John Hill will check on new regulations pertaining to whether
or not CD appointements working for A &M need approval by
board of directors.
