MINUTES OF DEFENSE COUNCIL MEETING
CIVIL DEFENSE OFFICE
JULY 9, 1971 5:00 PM
Attendance: Jake Canglose Mr. Boswell
Hanry Alsmeyer John Hill
Mr. Cooper E.E. Burns
Mr. Jacques Judge Vance
Mr. Fred Sandlin
Mr. Cooper and Mr. Jaques are from the Mental
Health Center.
Item I Determination of emergency hospital building
status due to change of land ownership from
St. Joseph Hospital group to Brazos Walley
Mental Health Center,
This office proposed leaving building on property
and administration of unit to remain under St.
Jospeh Hospital staff. Decision for hospital
expansion to be decided after emergency plans
and decision is made by Civil Defense Emergency
Health committee.
Officers from Brazos Valley Mental Health Center
decision as to building status:
1. Send a letter to the effect that the building
will remain on property and administration will be
under St. Joseph Hospital. Judge Vance will send
letter.
Item II : Meeting scheduled July 29, 1971 at 1:45 PM at St.
Jospeh Hospital to discuss local Emergency Medical
and Hospital Plans.
Douglas W. McLendon -- -Texas State Department of
Health will MC meeting.

Item III Progress report from H. Alsmeyer as to Civil Defense
