MINUTES OF DEFENSE COUNCIL MEETING
CIVIL DEFENSE OFFICE
JANUARY 8, 1971 5:00 PM

Information given by J. Canglose. . . . Met with
Treasury Dept. officials on Jan. 5th and located
in College Station Post Office- -
provided sheltered f r. and 700 sq. ft. of equip-
ment storage space on a permanent basis -- co-
ordinated with postmaster Ernest Gregg.
Met with Mr. Messenger from Texas Department of
Public Safety Civil Defense office and turned in
RACES plan and license for county - -also turned in
C.B. licenses renewal to F.C.C.
Had a spot inspection from Ft. H ood by two officers
of shelter supplies in the Academic building.
Total shelter inspected to date - - -20.
Total number of wall shelter maps completed over 75.
Action on installation
Don R. Stafford will install'in dormitories .
Need to install in all public buildings.
Will have to get with Sister Patricia at St. Joseph
hospital on Emergency hospital agreement. Do this
Monday.
