The Brazos County Civil Defense Office in cooperation with the Texas Office of Civil Defense and the Department of Defense is offering a course in "Applied Fallout Shelter Analysis" beginning February 26, 1966 to all architects and engineers in Brazos County and the surrounding area. The course will be conducted by James H. Marsh, Assoc. Professor of the Texas A &M Architecture Department, and will be free of charge to all qualified applicants. The enrollment date will be February 26, 1966 at 9 a.m. and will continue for 15 weeks meeting each saturday morning for 3 hours. The course subjects will include: a. Study of Nuclear Weapons b. Protection Factors c. Dose and Dose Rates d. Biological Effects e. Sheilding Analysis and Methodology f. Habitality and Environmental Engineering g. Sheilding Techniques Architects and Engineers who successfully complete the course, will be certified by the Department of Defense as "Qualified Shelter Analysists" and will be so listed in the National Directory which is published by the Department of Defense. Persons interested in taking this course should request enrollment forms from the Brazos County Civil Defense Office, Bryan, Texas.
