Bryan Masonic Lodge #129, 107 A South Main Bryan, Texas Dear REACTer: It is meeting time again and it has been a fairly busy month. We had a good time at our picnic, the hamburgers were good, but the company was better. We need to get together more often. Earl & I went to the Firefighter Training Exhibition at Brayton Field last Wednesday night. It was very interesting and informative. We had never been out there before to watch and enjoyed it very much. We saw several of the local firefighters there, even was Sparky the Fire Dog. We met a firefighter from Universal City and is also a member of the REACT team from that area. REACT responded to a duplex & garage fire at 2505A Echols, B. Heavily damaged. We helped with traffic control and served gatorade and water. June 29, 1990 1:15 A. M. REACT responded to a major 1050 on FM 2154 near Wellborn Feed Store. 7 youths in Ford Bronco flipped & several had minor injuries. Traffic control. July 2, 1990 6:45 P.M. REACT responded to a farm tractor & train accident on FM 2154 & Wade Rd.. No injuries thank goodness. Noe helped with traffic control & translation. • July 3, 1990 9:00 P. M. REACT responded to. the plane crash on Easterwood Field, light injuries. We served water & gatorade. July 8, 1990 6:51 A.M. REACT responded to a major 1050 on FM 2154 2i Mi. S of Wellborn, 1 pu rollover with 2 injured -1 critical & 1 serious. Traffic control & helped search for poss. third victim. b July 11, 1990 3:45 A.M. REACT responded to a house fire 1004 Dale, B Total loss, served gatorade & water. 00 July 11, 1990 4:45 A.M. REACT went from fire above to commercial fire at 1315 S. College (Gunns & Rose). Heavy damage. Gatorade & water served. July 11, 1990 6:00 P. M. REACT responded to a major 1050 FM 2154 3 mi. S of 2818 1 car rollover, hit tree. cn 2 injured (1 later died at 12:30 7/12/90). Traffic control. July 19, 1990 4:00 PM. H REACT responded to house fire due to lightning just off Smetana Rd. Badly damaged. Traffic control & gatorade. July 21, 1990 4:30 P. M. REACT responded to Bryan Utility Lake to help hunt for lost 3 yr. old child. Found ok. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXX XX Its too bad that money can't buy happiness. Happiness is one of the best things made in America.
