Masonic Lodge #129, 107 A South Main Bryan, Texas Dear REACTer: It's meeting time again and it's going to be hard to meet when the next day is a holiday. None of us melted and we had plenty to eat. I enjoy getting together at picnics because everyone let's their hair down, talks and enjoys the day. We had a very nice and unexpected surprise June 6th when we were invited to attend the volunteer Fire Dept. Association Meeting. They presented us with donations to help purchase supplies that we use when we help at their fires. We really appreciate it. Thanks to all of you. •• ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ••••••••• •••••••••••••••••••••••••• We all get two gifts we should use as much as possible- imagination & humor. Imagination compensates us for what we are not. A sense of humor consoles us for what we are. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Some of the activities the team have been involved in are: May 30, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 10:00 P.M. to a barn fire 1 Mi off FM 60 past Welch Store. We served water and gatorade. The barn was a total loss. June 4, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 8:30 P.M. to a major 1050 on Grassburr Rd. off FM 1179. One car rollover with 3 injuries. Traffic control and water. JUNE 8, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded to the bad weather by spot checking then at 10:30 P.M. we went to Caldwell to see if we could help after the tornado. Too many wires and trees were down for us to help. 2 members stayed to help man the phones that might come in. June 11, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 7:52 P.M. to a house fire at 803 N. Hall, Bryan. It was a total loss. Water and gatorade were served. June 22, 1989 Brazos - County REACT. responded at 10:00 P.M. to a house fire off FM 2154 across the tracks from the feed store. .It was a total loss. Water & gatorade were served. June 25, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 12:01 A.M. to a major 1050 on FRost Rd. off Birdpond Rd.. 1 fatality and 2 injuries. Traffic control. We helped at a total of 3 fires, 5 auto accidents and bad weather watch. Fest at College Station Central Park in September if we are asked.
