NEWS LETTER
Meeting: Monday April 3, 1989
Bryan Masonic Lodge, 107 -A South Main
Bryan, Texas
Dear REACTer,
We hope we will get to have a regular meeting this time because we
didn't have our February meeting due to bad weather and our March meeting
was cut short due to no heat in the building. We hope to have a film on
Hazardous Chemicals this meeting presented by Alvin Phelps.

Some of the activities the team has been involved in since the last
news letter are:
Feb. 28, 1989 11:30 P.M.
We responded to a major 1050 on Highway 21 West, 50 yds East of the
Big Brazos River. An 18 wheeler loaded with lumber over turned in the east
bound lane. No injuries. We helped with traffic control.
March 1, 1989

We responded at 3:15 A.M. to a house fire at 1716 Wilson St., Bryan.
We served coffee, coco & gatorade.
March 12, 1989
We responded at 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 I.M. to help Bryan P.D. at the Navasota
River. We served coffee, sandwiches & donuts.
March 12, 1989
We responded at 11:28 A.M. to a grass fire at Clear Leaf Mobile Home Park.
Noe helped wet down the grass around the mobile homes. He served water,gatorade.
March 25, 1989
We helped with the communications for the 1989 Triathelon at TAMU from 6:30 A.M.
until 1:15 P.M.. There was only one accident with injuries that we know of.
March 25, 1989
We responded at 9:00 P. M. to a major 1050 on Hwy. 21 East by Feathercrest
Farms. 1 car roll -over with 2 injuries. We helped with traffic control.
President Shearer wants to thank everyone that helped with the Triathelon
Saturday. It was short notice, but everything worked out. We need to have a
CPR class. We will soon need 2 new back tires on the van.
The Health Fair turned out good in spite of the bad weather.
We will help with the 1989 March of Dimes Walk America sometime in April. We
will help with the Jazz Festival later, but the date is not known at this time.

Keep a watch out for the weather since we are in tornado season.
