Bryan Masonic Lodge, 107 -A South Main Bryan, Texas Dear REACTer, I don't know what kind of program Pres. Shearer has planned at this time. His father -in -law was taken back to the hospital Tuesday at noon. We hope he feels better soon. We should make every effort to be at the meeting to support our president and fellow team members. A president cannot run a team without help and a few team members cannot operate effectively without help. That is why we are a team, to help one another to help others. Be a team player, in sports or business, the secret of success is for each player to put the team's goals first. When every- body pulls together, the team wins and everybody benefits. When the team loses, nobody wins. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXRXXXX In times like these, keep in mind that there have always been times like these. Some of the major activities the team has been involved in since our last newsletter are as follows: December 27, 1988 10:30 A.M. Brazos County REACT, responded to a house fire at the Groesbeck Apts. on Groesbeck St., Bryan. 2 units were destroyed. vJe served water, ice & gatorade. December 30, 1988 Brazos County REACT responded at 7:00 P.M. to a major 1050 on Hwy. 6 South, 21 miles S of race track. There was 1 injury. We helped with traffic control. January 3,1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 1:35 A.M. to a commercial fire (The Tin Shack) 900 Blk Texas Ave., Bryan. It was heavily damaged. We served water, ice, gatorade & coffee. • January 14, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 6:30 P.M. to a house fire 1501 Bennett, Bryan. The house was damaged in the attic and smoke filled the house. We served water, gatorade, coffee and helped with traffic control. • January 17, 1989 12:05 A.M. Brazos County REACT responded to a house fire on Sandy Point Rd next to the Lulac Club, Bryan. The house was badly damaged. We served wafer, gatorade and coffee. January 18, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 6:00 P.M. to a house fire in 1500 Elk of • West 21st & Reed sts., Bryan. The house was badly damaged. We served water, coffee and gatorade. Also helped with traffic control. January 21, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 4:00 P.M. to a house fire at 3705 Shirley Dr., Bryan. The house was badly damaged. We served water, coffee & gatorade and also helped with traffic control. January 22, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 5:45 P.M. to a house fire at 514 Cooner St., College Station. M. to a house fire, Groesbeck Apts. on Groesbeck St., Bryan, Texas. Totally destroyed. We served coffee, water & gatorade. January 25, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 12:40 A.M. to an apt. fire at the Aggieland Apts. on Rosebud & Miller St., College Station. The apt was damaged. Water & gatorade were served. January 29, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 1:07 A.M. to an apt. fire at 1710 Echols St., Bryan. It was not badly damaged. We served water, coffee & gatorade. January 30, 1989 Brazos County REACT responded at 5:20 P.M. to a house fire on Pleasant Hill Rd., Brazos County. We served water & gatorade. All told we responded to 11 fires and 4 auto accidents. We also helped Bryan Police Dept. the day the divers came down from Houston by serving coffee, sandwichs, and cookies. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Don't ever be afraid to admit you were wrong. It's like saying you're wiser today than you were yesterday. The Health Fair will be held in Post Oak Mall, College Station on March 3 & 4th so be thinking what we can do. We will need help also.
