Bryan Masonic Lodge, 107 -A South Main Bryan, Texas Dear REACTer, I need to remind you of the meeting coming up on Monday night. Dues are due again soon. They are still the same for 1989 $17.00 for first family member and $10.00 for each additional member. If you were not at the last meeting you need to know who was elected for 1989 officers. Robert Shearer is President, Earl Adams is Vice - President, Jane Adams is Secretary, Marie Allen is Treasurer, and Andy Andrews is Communications Officer. The Board of Directors elected for 2 years are Gaylan Christiansen and Nita Andrews, elected for 1 year are Alvin Phelps and Gerald Guillory. **************************************************** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** Success is not how high and fast you reach the top, but how high and fast you bounce back when you hit the bottom. **************************************************** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** Some of the major activities the team has been involved in since the last meeting are: November 3, 1988 Brazos County REACT responded to a structure fire at the Aggieland Apts. on Rosebud and Miller Streets, College Station at 5:45 P.M. , on the opposite side of the street from the fire on Oct. 9, 1988. 2 units were damaged. We served water, ice, gatorade & coffee. November 3, 1988 Brazos County REACT responded at 6:30 P.M. to a structure fire at the Landing Apts in the 2200 Blk of Finfeather, Bryan. 3 units were damaged. We served water, ice' and gatorade. November 5, 1988 Brazos County REACT responded at 2:25 A.M. to a mobile home fire at Rolling Ridge Mobile Home Park on North Graham Road. We served water, ice & gatorade. November 11, 1988 Brazos County REACT responded at 7:30 P.M. to a major accident on Highway 6 North and North of OSR. •It "was a 1 car rollover with 5 persons injured. We helped with traffic control. { November 12, 1988 Brazos County REACT responded at 11:00 P.M. to a major accident tone out on Bittle Lane and Leonard Road. It involved 2 vehicles with several injuries. We helped with traffic control. November 12, 1988 Brazos County REACT responded at 11:59 P.M. to a major accident tone out on Highway 6 North and 3/4 mile N of OSR. It involved 2 vehicles and several injuries. We helped with traffic control. November 21, 1988 Brazos County REACT responded at 11:15 P.M. to a mobile home fire at Bel -Air Mobile Home Park #7. We served water, ice, coffee, hot chocolate and gatorade. November 25, 1988 Brazos County REACT responded at 6:00 P.M. to a major accident on FM 2776 5.2 miles North of Highway 21 East. Brazos County REACT Page 2 NEWS LETTER - December 1988 All told we responded to 6 fire and 7 accidents until the time this letter was printed. November 29, 1988 Brazos County REACT helped with the lighting ceremony of "Christmas in the Park" at Central Park in College Station. It started at 6:30 P.M.. Coming up for December 4, 1988 Brazos County REACT will help with the Holiday Parade. It will start at 3:00 P.M. but we need to be there earlier. If you have been asked to help, please be sure to be there.
