Bryan Union Lodge No. 129, 107 -A South Main
Bryan, Texas
Dear REACTer,
I need to remind you of the meeting coming up on Monday night. This will be
an important meeting for all the team members as it will be election night. This
is your opportunity to insure that your team has what you consider to be the strongest,
most effective leadership available. The positions to be filled are President, Vice -
President, Secretary, Treasurer and Communications Officer.
If you were not at the Area V Council meeting on October 8th you missed a good
meeting. The police chief of Temple welcomed us to Temple and talked about how
REACTers could help the community in many ways. He also said that if he could help
by talking to any of our law officials he would be happy to. He appreciated the
way Bell County REACT had helped in Temple. Elections of the Area V Council officers
for 1989 was held and two positions were filled by Brazos County Team members. The
positions filled were as follows: President -Frank Graves (Bexar County REACT), Vice -
President -Earl Adams (Brazos County REACT), Recording Secretary -Keren Pratz (Bell
County REACT) and Treasurer - Gerald Guillory (Brazos County REACT).

We have had two members in the hospital and are happy to report that both
are doing better. Burr Moody had a heart attack and had to have surgery to get
better. He is home and even gone back to work if he takes it easy. Good luck,
Burr.
Robert Shearer had surgery and seems to be getting along okay. Robert is
still in the hospital at this time, so please go see him in St. Joseph F.ospital
room 314. Hang in there Robert and get home soon.
Please don't forget upcoming events that we may be involved in such as the
Holiday Parade on Dec. 4, 1988 and Christmas in the Park at Central Park. Each
of these is a very worthwhile event and offer our team a great opportunity for
public exposure.
