I regret that we did not answer your letter promptly, but we just recently received this exhibit. Enclosed is Change Number 1 to the MP -9 Display Catalog. Page B -9 illustrates and describes this exhibit. As you can see, it is not a "small, portable exhibit" but rather a large, 200 pound exhibit. We have only one of these exhibits for Region Five. If you have an event scheduled and would like to request this exhibit, please make your request on a "Form for Requesting Exhibits," (several copies of this form are attached.) PREFACE This catalog is for the convenience of civil defense officials wishing to make use of OCD exhibits at civil defense meetings or public showings. It contains pictures, brief descriptions, and specifications of the exhibits -- and describes procedures for requesting and using them. The major exhibits listed in this catalog are intended for use at national and regional conventions, expositions, State fairs, large county fairs, and other large audience shows. Ten basic steps for industrial survival are presented. M M Each OCD Region has one of these trailer exhibits which can be moved from one site to another. This unit is a com- pact version of the Army Sho -Coach exhibit. Included are displays of public shelter areas that are being marked and stocked, public and family shelter supplies, civil defense warning signals and their meaning, individual preparedness 1 actions, home fallout shelters, and first aid actions for the untrained in emergency. Specifications No commercial hauler needed 1 - 110 -volt outlet 15 ft. long 1/2 man -hour to set up 6 ft. high 7 ft. wide NOTE: This unit constructed of aircraft aluminum weighs 1800 lbs., with a bearing pressure of 85 lbs. , on the towing hitch and can be hauled by passenger automobile. This exhibit presents winning designs in a school fallout shel- ter design competition sponsored by OCD, and conducted by the American Institute of Architects. It features an automa- tic slide projector that shows 12 different school designs.
