HomeMy WebLinkAboutRoss, Josephine Ford Josephine Ford Ross In 1908, the seventh child born into George and Victoria’s family was Josephine Ford. Josephine loved the Lord’s work and served her church faithfully. When she was young, the songs she had learned, while in college, she taught to the choir at Roans Chapel and would often sing duets with her favorite cousin, Daisy. She would later marry Jack Ross and give birth to four children: Jack Jr., Doris Rae, Charles Melvin and Darrell Lynn. Josephine and her husband were the driving forces for her siblings moving to Vancouver, Washington to work at the Kaiser Shipyard in the 1940’s. After the shipyard closed, instead of returning to Texas like other family members, Josephine and Jack moved their family to Seattle, Washington. Unfortunately, her husband would die shortly after their move, forcing Josephine to work very hard to keep her family together.
