WTAW -AM broadcasts the program at 8:35 am and at 5:30 pm each Monday. The WTAW program is usually one that has been aired on KAMU 3-4 weeks earlier, thus offering some variety if people happen to listen to both stations. Using standard measurements, the show is estimated to reach 300,000 people each year. BCHC sponsorship of this program is thoroughly consistent with the legislatively prescribed mission of the BCHC in that it helps, "create countywide awareness and appreciation of historic preservation and its benefits and uses." Texas Local Government Code, Section 318.007. Likewise, the program also serves to promote heritage tourism, a current focus of THC efforts. Ms. Lamb has always solicited and been willing to promote projects and ideas members of the BCHC have had. Our own Bill Page has been a frequent source of inspiration for specific programs.
