Habitable rooms shall not be less than 7 feet in any horizontal dimension, and habitable rooms, hallways, corridors, corridors, bathrooms, toilet rooms and laundry rooms shall have a ceiling height of not less than 7 feet. The required height shall be measured from the finish floor to the lowest projection from the ceiling. Bathrooms and showers shall have a minimum ceiling height of 6 feet 8 inches. Planning & Development Services would like to welcome Ben McCarty The Building Department is honored to have Ben McCarty as the commercial plans examiner. Originally from Seguuin Texas, Ben received a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architectuur from Texas A&M University. Ben formerly worked for a local homebuiilde as the senior designer and construuctio consultant since May 2000. He is going to be a great asset to our department and we are excited to have him here.
