AN ORDINANCE REZONING 6.76 ACRES OF A 36.182 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING
SITUATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, ABSTRACT 7, IN COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS
, COUNTY, TEXAS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 436, PAGE 558 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS
COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF
THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT A -0 TO APARTMENTS LOW DENSITY
DISTRICT R -4.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
IL
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, July 8, 1982 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city
limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of the following tract of land lying and
being situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos County,
Texas and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
Being a 6.76 acre tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the
Crawford Burnett League, Abstract 7, Brazos County, Texas and being a portion of
a 36.182 acre tract heretofore conveyed to Kenneth W. Schick, Trustee by E. Kelly
Parker, Trustee by deed recorded in Volume 436, page 558 of the deed records of
Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at the north corner of the aforementioned 36.182 acre tract, same
also lying on the Southeast right -of -way line of Southwest Parkway;
THENCE S 56 57' 06 " W along the said Southeast right -of -way line of Southwest
Parkway for a distance of 751.82 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING:
THENCE continuing S 56 57' 06" W along the Southeast right -of -way line of
Southwest Parkway for a distance of 439.07 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 44 36' 41" E along a common line of a tract heretofore reserved
for a City Park for a distance of 734.81 feet to an iron rod for corner; same
also lying on the west right -of -way line of Christine Lane;
THENCE N 45 23' 19 " E along the west right -of -way line of Christine Lane
for a distance of 421.65 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 43 51' 28" W for a distance of 646.86 feet to the PLACE OF BEGIN-
NING and containing 6.76 acres of land, more or less from Agricultural Open Space
District A -0 to Apartments Low Density District R -4.
And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately.
