AN ORDINANCE REZONING 0.81 ACRES OF A 20.37 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED
IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, ABSTRACT 7, IN COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
RECORDED IN VOLUME 302, PAGE 236 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING
MORE FULLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM ADMINISTRA-
TIVE- PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT A -P TO PLANNED COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C -3.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday,
February 25, 1982 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of the following tract of land lying and being
situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas and
being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
Being a 0.81 acre tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Crawford
Burnett League, Abstract 7, Brazos County, Texas and being a portion of a 20.37 acre
tract conveyed to Edsel G. Jones, et ux, Elsie J. Jones by partition deed recorded in
Volume 302, page 236 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; and being more parti-
cularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the west corner of a 3.60 acre tract conveyed to Wickes Corporation
by Edsel G. Jones et ux by deed recorded in Volume 318, page 435 of the Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas, said corner also lying in the southeast right -of -way of a county
road commonly known as Dowling Road;
THENCE S 44 08' 38" W along the southeast right -of -way of Dowling Road for a
distance of 256.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 45 51' 22" E for a distance of 140.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 44 08' 38" E for a distance of 249.46 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 43 10' 48" W for a distance of 140.15 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and
containing 0.81 acres of land more or less from Administrative - Professional District A -P
to Planned Commercial District C -3.
And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately.
