AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 14.55 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT
LEAGUE IN COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PART OF THAT 285.32
ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO SOUTHWOOD VALLEY, INC. BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 378,
PAGE 224 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS,''AND BEING MORE PARTIC-
ULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL /OPEN DISTRICT
A -0 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C -1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.,
on Thursday, March 12, 1981 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the city limits.
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that 14.55 acre tract of land
lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station,
Brazos County, Texas, and being a part of that 285.32 acre tract conveyed to
Southwood Valley, Inc. by deed recorded in Volume 378, page 224 of the Deed
Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING in the northeast line of Wellborn Road at the most westerly corner
of the said 285.32 acre tract;
THENCE S 47 0 02'53" E -- 1,469.27 feet along the northeast line of Wellborn
Road;
THENCE N 42 0 57'07" E -- 503.18 feet through the said 285.32 acre tract;
THENCE N 47 0 02'53" W -- 1,050.00 feet continuing through the said 285.32 acre
tract to a fence corner in a northwest line of the said 285.32 acre tract;
THENCE S 82 0 45'16" W -- 654.96 feet along said northwest line to the POINT
OF BEGINNING and containing 14.55 acres of land, more or less, from Agricul-
tural /Open District A -0 to General Commercial District C -1.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 12th day of March, 1981.
