AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SPEED ZONES WHICH
SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATES ADDITIONAL AREAS IN
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION IN WHICH RATES OF
SPEED OF THIRTY (30) MILES PER HOUR OR MORE
ARE AUTHORIZED: RESCINDING ALL PARTS OF ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: AND DECLARING
THAT ATTENDANT FACTS NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE
ACTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION.
SECTION I. That any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances relating to
speed zones on FM Highway 2154 in the City of College Station are hereby
rescinded, and the following are additional specifically designated areas
in which a rate of speed of thirty (30) miles per hour or more is authorized.
(a) FM Highway 2154 for traffic moving in a southerly
direction for the first 1.190 mile from the inter-
section of the most northerly ramp of the FM 60
interchange, the speed limit shall be forty (40)
miles per hour. For the next 0.380 mile the speed
limit shall be forty -five (45) miles per hour.
For the next 1.172 mile the speed limit shall be
fifty (50) miles per hour to the south city limit
of College Station.
For traffic moving in a northerly direction, for
the first 1.172 mile from the south city limit of
College Station, the speed limit shall be fifty
(50) miles per hour. For the next 0.380 mile the
speed limit shall be forty -five (45) miles per
hour. For the next 1.190 mile the speed limit shall
be forty (40) miles per hour to the intersection of thel!,,��
most northerly ramp of the FM 60 interchange. V0

SECTION II. WHEREAS, the preservation of the general welfare of the public
necessitates immediate action, this Ordinance shall be effective from and
after the date of its passage as provided by the Charter of the City of
College Station.
