AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 10.68 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE IN
BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PART OF THAT 285.32 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO SOUTHWOOD
VALLEY, INC. BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 378, PAGE 224 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS
COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS
ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL /OPEN DISTRICT A -0 TO APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R -5.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 5:00 P.M. on
Thursday, December 18, 1980 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain 10.68 acre tract of land
lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, Brazos County, Texas and
being a part of that 285.32 acre tract conveyed to Southwood Valley, Inc. by deed
recorded in Volume 378, page 224 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and
being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING in the northwest line of the said Southwood Valley 285.32 acre tract
S 50 0 18'28" W - 2248.14 feet from the most northerly corner of the said 285.32 acre
tract,
THENCE S 45 0 10'13" E - 887.96 feet through the 285.32 acre tract;
THENCE S 49 0 35'04" W - 300.00 feet to a corner of the said 285.32 acre tract;
THENCE N 67 0 25'06" W - 717.14 feet along the southwest line of the said 285.32 acre
tract to a corner of the said 285.32 acre tract to a corner;
THENCE N 45 0 10'13" W - 56.24 feet continuing along the wouthwest line of the said
285.32 acre tract to a corner;
THENCE S 44 0 23'11" W - 200.00 feet along a southeast line of the said 285.32 acre
tract to a corner;
THENCE M 45 0 10'13" W - 217.81 feet along the southwest line of the said 285.32 acre
tract to a corner in the northwest line of the said 285.32 acre tract;
THENCE N 44 0 23'11" E - 200.00 feet along the northwest line of the said 285.32 acre
tract to a corner;
THENCE S 45 0 10'13" E - 20.00 feet to a corner;
THENCE N 50 0 18'28" E - 573.11 feet along the northwest line of the said 285.32
acre tract to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 10.68 acres of land, more or
less, from Agricultural /Open District A -0 to Apartment Building District R -5.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
