AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 9.2 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE,
ABSTRACT 7, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING A PART OF A 29.622 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO
KENNETH SCHICK BY E. KELLY PARKER, TRUSTEE BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 436, PAGE 558
OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM DUPLEX DISTRICT R -2 TO APARTMENT
BUILDING DISTRICT R -5.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the question of rezoning certain
areas within the city limits at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 24, 1980 in the City
Hall;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all of that 9.2 acre tract of land lying in
the Crawford Burnett League, Abstract 7, Brazos County, Texas and being a part of that
29.622 acre tract conveyed to Kenneth Schick by E. Kelly Parker, Trustee by deed re-
corded in Volume 436, page 558 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod found markin the north corner of the aforesaid 29.622 acre
tract, said point also lying in the southeast right -of -way line of Nevada Street;
THENCE S 45 0 19'10" W along the said northwest line of the 29.622 acre tract for a
distance of 621.44 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING;
THENCE continuing S 45 0 19'10" W for a distance of 175.33 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 35 0 28'45" W a distance of 135.17 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 45 0 10'11" W approximately 155 feet to the center of a creek;
THENCE southeasterly across the said 29.622 acre tract along the centerline meanders
of the said creek to the northwest right -of -way line of Southwest Parkway;
THENCE N 57 0 14'10" E along the northwest right -of -way line of Southwest Parkway for
a distance of approximately 800 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 46 0 00'43" W across the said 29.622 acre tract for a distance of 716.02 feet
to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 9.2 acres of land, more or less, from Duplex
District R -2 to Apartment Building District R -5.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
