AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 1.754 ACRE TRACT IN THE J.E. SCOTT LEAGUE, COLLEGE STATION,
BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF JERSEY
' STREET AND WELLBORN ROAD (F.M. 2154) FROM APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R -6 TO HEAVY
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT M -2 AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, September 11, 1980 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
City Limits;
AND, WEHREAS, the City Council has determined the following:

classification of all that certain 1.754 acre tract of land
League, Brazos County, College Station, Texas and being the
conveyed to Marion Pugh by deed recorded in Volume 240, page
of Brazos County, Texas, and the abandoned I. & G.N. Railroad
said 1.15 acre tract, said 1.754 acre tract being more fully
BEGINNING at an iron rod for corner, said iron rod being located at the point of
intersection of the west right -of -way line of the H. & T.C. Railroad with the
southwest right -of -way line of F.M. 2347 (Jersey Street);
THENCE S 48 W along the abovementioned southwest right -of -way line of F.M. 2347
for a distance of 222.01 feet to an iron rod for corner, said iron rod being located
in the centerline of the abandoned I. & G.N. Railroad right -of -way;
THENCE S 19 E along the abovementioned centerline for a distance of 283.83 feet
to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 71 E a distance of 50.0 feet past an iron rod located at the point of
intersection with the east right -of -way line of Carroll Street;
THENCE continuing along the said right of way of Carroll Street a distance of
254.73 feet to an iron rod for corner, said iron rod being located at the point of
intersection of the said north right -of -way line of the H. & T.C. Railroad; executed
the same for the purposes;
THENCE N 26 W along the abovementioned west right -of -way line of the H. & T.C.
Railroad for a distance of 375.8 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 1.754
acres of land, more or less, from Apartment Building District R -6 to Heavy Industrial
District M -2.
AND, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
