AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 106,007 SQUARE FOOT TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IPU THE J.E.
SCOTT LEAGUE, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND SITUATED ADJACENT TO
THE TEXAS A &M UNIVERSITY CAMPUS AND MEADOWLAND STREET AND BEING FURTHER DESC-
RIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R -f AND
GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C -1 TO APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R -5.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, August 28, 1980 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that 106,007 square foot tract
of land lying in the J.E. Scott League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas,
situated adjacent to the Texas A &M University campus and Meadowland Street
and being further described as follows:
James L. Lindsey tract, J.E. Scott League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas,
containing 106,007 square feet, more or less, situated adjacent to the Texas A &M
campus and Meadowland Street, being further described in two (2) tracts in a
deed from Marion C. Pugh to James L. Lindsey, dated March 25, 1966, and recorded
in Volume 254, page 167, and in a deed from C.R. Watson to James L. Lindsey,
dated February 25, 1966, and recorded in Volume 253, page 439, Deed Records
of Brazos County, Texas. And being the same property conveyed in deed dated
December 22, 1971, executed by Margaret Rudder and James L. Lindsey to Burtex
Constructors, Incorporated, said deed being recorded in Volume 300, page 849,
of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas from Apartment Building District R -6
and General Commercial District C -1 to Apartment Building District R -5.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
