AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 2.825 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING IN THE ROBERT STEPHENSON
LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING ALL OF TRACT NO. 5, A 3.073 ACRE TRACT
OF LAND DESCRIBED IN VOLUME X, PAGE 452 OF THE PERMANENT MINUTES OF THE DISTRICT
COURT, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY
OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL /OPEN DISTRICT A -0 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT C -1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, July 24, 1980 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain 2.825 acre tract of
land lying in the Robert Stephenson League, Brazos County, Texas, and being all
of Tract No. 5, a 3.073 acre tract of land described in Volume X, page 452 of
the Permanent Minutes of the District Court, Brazos County, Texas and being
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod set in the northeast right -of -way line of State Highway
6, South, said iron rod also being the southwest corner of the herein described
tract;
THENCE N 45 E -- 555.03 feet to a fence corner for corner;
THENCE S 43 E -- 210.69 feet to a fence corner for corner;
THENCE S 45 W -- 608.84 feet to a fence corner in said Highway 6 South
line for corner;
THENCE N 29 W -- 220.08 feet along said Highway 6 South line to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 2.825 acres of land, more or less, from
Agricultural /Open District A -0 to General Commercial District C -1.
AND, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED, this 14th day of Aug., 1980.
