AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 4.54 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE
CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, ABSTRACT 7, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING A PART OF A
20.37 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO EDSEL JONES, ET UX, ELSIE J. JONES BY PARTITION DEED
RECORDED IN VOLUME 302, PAGE 236 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND
BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R -1 TO ADMINISTRATIVE /PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT A -P.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, June 26, 1980 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain 4.54 acre tract of land
lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, Abstract 7, Brazos County,
Texas and being a portion of a 20.37 acre tract conveyed to Edsel G. Jones, et ux,
by Elsie J. Jones by partition deed recorded in Volume 302, page 236 of the Deed
Records of Brazos County, Texas; and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the west corner of a 3.60 acre tract conveyed to Wickes Corporation
by Edsel G. Jones, et ux, by deed recorded in Volume 318, page 435 of the Deed
Records of Brazos County, Texas, said corner also lying in the southeast right -
of -way line of a county road commonly known as Dowling Road;
THENCE S 44 0 08'38" W along the southeast right -of -way of Dowling Road for a dis-
tance of 805.74 feet to a point for corner;

THENCE S 74 0 14'22" E a. distance of 110.26 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 24 ° 54'38" E a distance of 284.77 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 84 0 08'22" E a distance of 866.87 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 31 0 58'12" E a distance of 62.61 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 46 0 45'30" E a distance of 191.84 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 39 0 30'12" W a distance of 82.95 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 82 0 30'21" W a distance of 57.70 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 76 0 45'24" W a distance of 268.75 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 43 0 10'48" W a distance of 480.13 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING And
containing 4.54 acres of land, more or less, from Single Family Residential Dis-
trict R -1 to Administrative /Professional District A -P.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
