AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 2.8 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING IN THE MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AND GENERALLY LOCATED 300 FEET EAST OF TEXAS AVENUE AND APPROXIMATELY 200 FEET NORTH OF BRENTWOOD DRIVE AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R -4 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C -1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 10, 1980 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City Limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of a 2.8 acre tract lying in the Morgan Rector League in Brazos County, College Station, Texas, and conveyed to the owner by the following deeds: V.J. Boriski to John Simek, et ux, Volume 201 page 235; J.M. Boriski to John Simek, et ux, Volume 131, page 411; V.J. Boriski to John Simek, et ux, Volume 268, page 664, of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more fully described as follows: Commencing at a point in the northeast right -of -way line of Texas Avenue, said point also being the most westerly corner of the Brentwood Phase I Addition, a subdivision to the City of College Station, Texas; THENCE N 41 0 48'30" E -- 298.00 feet along the north line of the Said Brentwood Addition Phase I to the POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE N 45 W -- 115.95 feet to a point for corner; THENCE N 45 E -- 61.00 feet to a point for corner; THENCE N 45 W -- 182.00 feet to a point for corner; THENCE N 45 E -- 392.88 feet to a point for corner; THENCE S 45 E -- 297.15 feet to a point for corner, said line also lying in the north line of the Brentwood Phase II Addition, a subdivision to the City of College Station, Texas; THENCE S 41 0 48'30" E -- 476.83 feet along the north line of the said Brentwood Phase I and II Additions to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 2.8 acres of land, more or less, from Apartment Building District R -4 to General Commercial District C -1. And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately. PASSED AND APPROVED, this 10th day of January, 1980. PROVED Mayor Attest City Secretary
