AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 0.57 ACRE TRACT LOCATED IN THE ROBERT STEVENSON LEAGUE
IN BRAZOS COUNTY, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AND BEING A PART OF THE SOUTHWOOD TER
RACE ADDITION, SECTION 2, A SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
FROM AGRICULTURAL/OPEN DISTRICT A-0 TO DUPLEX DISTRICT R-2.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, November 8, 1979 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone orchange the classification of all that 0.57 acre tract of land lying in
the Robert Stevenson League in Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 26.46
acre tract conveyed to the Tiller Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 353,
page 319 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING in the northwest line of the said 26.46 acre tract at the most southerly
corner of the Southwood Terrace Section One Addition, a subdivision of the City of
College Station, Texas, according to plat recorded in Volume 353, page 319 of the
Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas;
THENCE S 26055'05" E -- 252.32 feet through the said 26.46 acre tract to the
northwest line of a proposed street or road;
THENCE S 78047'23" W -- 68.31 feet along the northwest line of the said proposed
street or road to the P.C. of a curve to the left (Radius = 1094.14 feet)
THENCE along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 7010'22" to the
northwest line of the said 26.46 acre tract;
THENCE N 17018'19" E -- 286.17 feet along the northwest line of the said 26.46
acre tract to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.57 acres of land, more or
less, from Agricultural/Open District A-0 to Duplex District R-2.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
