HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-1194 - Ordinance - 11/08/1979ORDINANCE NO. 1194 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: An affidavit having been made by all of the owners of the herein described territory adjoining the limits of the City of College Station, Texas, to the effect that there are no registred voters residing within the boundaries of the herein described ter- ritory and that the affiants are the sole owners of the herein described territory and, THE AFFORSAID affidavit having been filled with the City Secretary who has certified the same to the City Council, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council by virtue of the authority conferred by Article II, Section 6 of the Charter of the City of College Station, Texas approved on April 4, 1972, by this ordinance does hereby receive such territory within the incorporated limits of the City of College Station, Texas, such territory being described by metes and bounds as follows: All that certain tract of land lying in the Robert Stevenson League in Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 26.46 acre tract conveyed to Tiller Corp. by deed recorded in Volume 353, page 714 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING in the northwest line of the said 26.46 acre tract at the most southerly corner of the Southwood Terrace Section One Addition, and addition to the City of College Station, Texas, according to plat filled in Volume 353, page 319 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; THENCE S 26055'05" E -- 252.32 feet through the said 26.46 acre tract to the north- west line of a proposed street or road; THENCE S 78047'23" W -- 68.31 feet along the northwest line of the said proposed street or road to the P.C. of a curve to the left (Radius * 1094.14 feet); THENCE along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 7010'22" to the north- west line of the said 26.46 acre tract; THENCE N 17018'19" E -- 286.17 feet to the northwest line of the said 26.46 acre tract to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.57 acres of land, more or less.
