AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 75 FOOT BY 200 FOOT TRACT LOCATED IN THE MORGAN RECTOR
LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NO. 46, BRAZOS COUNTY, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AND LOCATED ON
THE EAST SIDE OF TEXAS AVENUE APPROXIMATELY 1,000 FEET SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 30

FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, October 25, 1979 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract or parcel of
land lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector League, Abstract 46, in
Brazos County, Texas, and being described as follows:
BEGINNING at the south corner of a one acre tract conveyed by S.L. Richardson,
et al, to the First Methodist Church of College Station, Texas, said stake be-
ing in the Northeast line of State Highway No. 6;
THENCE N 450 E -- with the said church tract's Southeast line 200 feet to a
stake for corner;
THENCE S 450 E -- 75 to a stake for corner;
THENCE S 450 W -- 200 feet to a stake for corner set in the Northwest right-
of-way line of State Highway No. 6;
THENCE N 450 W -- with the said right-of-way line 75 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING, and part of this tract being the same property conveyed by S.L.
Richardson, et al, to W.A. Tarrow and wife, Edna Tarrow, by deed recorded in
Volume 138, page 451 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas from Single
Family Residential District R-1 to General Commercial District C-1.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 25th day of October 1979.
