AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 250 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING IN THE RICHARD CARTER
LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AND BEING A PART OF A 1,580
ACRE TRACT (M.DANSBY ET AL TO BERT WHEELER BEVERAGE STORES, INC.: VOLUME
291 PAGE 764, DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS) AND BEING MORE PAR-
TICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM
AGRICULTURAL/OPEN DISTRICT A-0 TO PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT M-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, October 11, 1979 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of:all that certain 250 acre tract of
land lying and being situted in the Richard Carter League in Brazos County,
College Station, Texas,conveyed to Bert Wheeler Beverage Stores, Inc. by
M. Dansby et al by deed recorded in Volume 291, page 764 of the Deed Records
of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the intersection of the present City limits and the northwest
right-of-way line of State Highway 30, the said intersection being in Carter's
Creek;
THENCE along the northwest right-of-way line of State Highway 30 by the fol-
lowing courses:
N 39018-04" E -- 1352.23 feet;
S 45028'52" E -- 14.09 feet;
N 39013'40" E -- 801.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING of the herein said tract;
THENCE continuing along the northwest right-of-way line of State Highway 30 by the
following courses;
N 39013'40" E -- 686.27 feet;
Along the $rc of a curve to the right (Radius = 2889.42 feet) the chord of which
bear N 43 36'15" E -- 442.63 feet;
N 48 00'49" E -- 2394.52 feet;
THENCE along the northeast line of a 150 acre tract (A.R. Jones, et al to H.P.
Dansby, Volume 76, page 343) by the following courses;
N 41015'49" W -- 1344.50 feet;
N 40055'47" W -- 1271.43 feet;
N 39038'09" W -- 128.28 feet;
N 42029'00" W -- 162.98 feet;
N 50004'15" W -- 119.36 feet to the southeast right-of-way line of State Highway
60;
THENCE along the southeast right-of-way line of State Highway 60 by the following
courses:
S 47054'59" W -- 2128.65 feet;
Along the arc of a curve to the right (Radius = 6219.66 feet) the chord of which

S 57 12'00" W -- 300.00 feet;

THENCE S 42042-14" E -- 3305.27 feet through the abovementioned 1580 acre
tract to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 250 acres of land, more or
less from Agricultural/Open District A-0 to Planned Industrial District
M-1.
AND, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
