AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 1.00 ACRE TRACT LYING IN THE ROBERT STEVENSON SURVEY,
ABSTRACT NO. 54, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING LOCATED AT THE
INTERSECTION OF TEXAS AVENUE AND ROCK PRAIRIE ROAD AND BEING MORE FULLY DES-
CRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL OPEN DISTRICT, A-0 TO
GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, January 25, 1979 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that 1.00 acre tract of land lying
and being situated in the Robert Stevenson Survey, Abstract No. 54, College
Station, Brazos County, Texas, said 1.00 acre tract being a part of the 13.74
acre tract conveyed to Michael J. Muth, et ux, by Mrs. Rachel E. Falkner, et al,
and recorded in Volume 167, page 632 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas,
and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod in the northwest right-of-way line of Rock Prairie Road
at an old school tract, DR 147/178; said rod being northeast a distance of 250
feet from the northeast right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6;
THENCE N 37°22' W along the old school tract a distance of 125 feet to an iron
rod for corner;
THENCE N 45000' E parallel to Rock Prairie Road, for a distance of 348.48 feet
to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 37°22' E parallel to the old school tract for a distance of 125 feet
to an iron rod in the northwest right-of-way of Rock Prairie Road;
THENCE S 45000' W along the above right-of-way line for a distance of 348.48
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 1.00 acres of land, more or less,
from Agricultural Open District A-0 to General Commercial District C-1.
And it is ordained that said change shall be effective immeditately.
