AN ORDINANCE REZONING ALL OF A 7.34 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND BEING
SITUATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, IN COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS,
AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM NEIGHBORHOOD
kw BUSINESS DISTRICT C-N TO TOWNHOUSE-ROWHOUSE DISTRICT Rr-3.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hallat 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, July 13, 1978 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City
Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract or parcel of land,
lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, in Brazos County, Texas,
and being a part of that 7.682 acre tract of land conveyed to Dorsey E. McCrory
by C.M.R. Deacon, et.ux., by deed recorded in Volume 271, page 259 of the Deed
Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being a part of that 39.979 acre tract of
land conveyed to Dorsey E. McCrory by the Texas Veterans' Land Program by a Contract
of Sale and Purchase recorded in Volume 209, Page 621 of the Deed Records of Brazos
County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an iron rod at the south corner of the said 7.682 acre tract.
THENCE S 370 49' 47" E - 256.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 490 26' 35" W - 376.28 feet; N 77' 07' 05" W - 138,00 feet; S 12' 52' 55" W -
134.00 feet and S 67° 39' 25" W - 398.04 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 120 52' 55P E - 443.41 feet to a curve to the left;
THENCE 262.90 feet around a curve to the left whose chord bears N 010 10' 10" E -
261.07 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 86" 27' 03" E - 390.35 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 440 39' 00" E - 117.00 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 430 05' 25" E - 129.77 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 7.34
acres of land, more or less, according to a survey made under the supervision of
Donald D. Garrett, Registered Professional Engineer, No. 22790, in June, 1978,
from Neighborhood Business District C-N to TownhouserRowhouse District Rr-3.
And, it is ordained that said change shall be effective immediately.
