AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 0.775 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE,
ABSTRACT 46, BRAZOS COUNTY TEXAS AND BEING A PART OF THE RAINTREE SUBDIVISION,
PHASE II, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, SAID 0.775 ACRE TRACT
BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL - OPEN
DISTRICT A-0 TO SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1.
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, December 8, 1977 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of a 0.775 acre tract or parcel of land
lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector League, Abstract 46, Brazos
County, Texas, and being a portion of a 17.83 acre tract conveyed to Edwin W.
Schultz by deed recorded in Volume 365, Page 671 of the Deed Records of Brazos
County, Texas, and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most westerly corner of the aforesaid 17.83 acre tract, said
point also being a corner of Lot 4, Block 2 in RainTree - Phase One, and also
lying in the southeast line of the Lydia Boriskie tract described in Volume
47, Page 499 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas;
THENCE N 82026'57" E along the southwest line of the said 17.83 acre tract
for a distance of 1080.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING:
THENCE S 75003'03" E a distance of 231.37 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 42026'57" E a distance of 163.33 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 39029'47" W a distance of 114.74 feet to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE S 60011'50" W a distance of 300.54 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and
containing 0.775 acres of land, more or less, from Agricultural -Open District
A-0 to Single Family Residential District R-1.
AND, it is ordained that said ordinance shall become effective immediately.
