AN ORDINANCE REZONING ALL OF THAT 13.78 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING
SITUATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT AND ROBERT STEVENSON LEAGUES AND BEING
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO DUPLEX RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-2.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
W HEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 PM
on Thursday, July 14, 1977 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the city limit;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that 13.78 acre tract or parcel
of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League and Robert
Stevenson League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a portion
of that 649.77 acre tract conveyed to Southwood Valley, Inc. by deed re-
corded in Volume 322, page 670 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas,
and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING in the southeast line of Ponderosa Road at its intersection with
the southwest line of Southwood Terrace Section One, an addition to the
City of College Station, Texas, according to plat of record in Volume
353, page 319 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas.
THENCE S 40°39'13" E - 791.56 feet along the southwest line of Southwood
Terrace Section one to the most southerly corner of same;
THENCE S 17018'19" W - 730.42 feet along the southeast line of said
649.77 acre tract;
THENCE N 37004'25" W - 1338.57 feet to the Southeast line of Ponderosa
Road;
THENCE along the southeast line of Ponderosa Road as follows:
N 76025'14" E - 40.04 feet to the P.C. of a curve to the left (R=1076.20')
Along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 16023145" to the
P.T. of said curve;
N 60001-29" E - 200.00 feet to the P.C. of a curve to the left (R=635')
Along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 1011'19" to the
POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 13.78 acres of land, more or less,
from Single Family Residential District R-1 to Duplex Residential District
R-2, and it is ordained that said change shall be effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 14th day of July, 1977.
