HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-1062 - Ordinance - 01/13/1977ORDINANCE NO. 1062 AN ORDINANCE REZONING ALL THAT CERTAIN 1.4 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1 TO SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1. WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 13, 1977 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of all that certain 1.4 acre tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, Brazos County, College Station, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 649.77 acre tract conveyed to Southwood Valley, Inc., by deed recorded in Volume 322, Page 670 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the southeast line of Treehouse Trail and the southwest line of Tract No. 8 as described in City of College Station, Ordinance No. 908. THENCE N 520 35' 20" E -- 203.59 feet along the southeast line of Treehouse Trail; THENCE S 290 06' 05" E -- 286.76 feet along the northeast line of Southwood Valley, Section 8-A; THENCE S 10 46' 20" E -- 215.64 feet continuing along the northeast line of Southwood Valley, Section 8-A to the southwest line of said Tract No. 8; THENCE N 41057' 27" W-460.45 feet along the southwest line of the said Tract No. 8 to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 1.4 acres of land, more or less from General Commercial District C-1 to Single Family Residential District R-1.
