AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 2.49 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE,
COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF
THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO PLANNED INDUSTRIAL
DISTRICT M-1 AS SPECIFIED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, September 23, 1976 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain 2.49 acre tract of land
being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas
conveyed to Oceanography International Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 281,
Page 669 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a fence post in the southeast right-of-way line of Farm Road 2818
and bearing S 45° 49' E and 2,296.2 feet from the most northerly corner of the
Jolly Jones 195.52 acre tract;
THENCE, S 45' 59' E along the northeast fence line of the Jolly Jones 195.52
acre tract for a distance of 161.1 feet to an iron pin for corner;
THENCE S 43° 55' W along a very old fence line for a distance of 135.5 feet
and corner;
THENCE S 390 25' W continuing along a very old fence line for a distance of 102.1
feet to a fence post and corner;
THENCE, S 460 01' E along a very old fence line for a distance of 148.5 feet to
an iron pin and corner;
THENCE, S 160 59' W into the Jolly Jones 195.52 acre tract for a distance of
155.92 feet and corner;
THENCE, N 450 32' W for a distance of 502.82 feet to an iron pin set in the
southeast right-of-way line of Farm Road 2818 and corner;
THENCE, N 59° 35' E along the southeast right-of-way line of Farm Road 2818 for
a distance of 42.5 feet to a concrete monument for corner;
THENCE, N 61° 18' E continuing along the southeast right-of-way line of Farm Road
2818 for a distance of 346.2 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 2.49
acres of land, more or less, from Single Family Residential District R-1 to
Planned Industrial District M-1.
And it is ordained that said change shall be effective immediately.
